J-Pop Summit Announces Artist Lineup!

The annual J-Pop Summit is gearing up for another spectacular event! This popular convention is known for bringing together the very best of Japanese culture and showcasing to the lucky attendees who come from all over just to take part in the festivities! This year’s summit will take place in San Francisco at the Fort Mason Center in the Regency Ballroom.

One of their largest events, the Jpop Live Concert, has just announced it’s star studded lineup! Fans of kawaii culture will be happy to know that Kyary Pamyu Pamyu has been announced as the opening night performer on July 22nd! You may remember her from her viral hit, “Pon Pon Pon” which currently has over 94 million views on Youtube.

As if that wasn’t enough of an incentive to try and snatch up a ticket, robot-dance masters World Order are also heading to the J-pop Summit this year to perform on both July 23rd and 24th! It will be their first time performing in San Francisco and we’re sure they’ll receive a warm welcome!

But, that’s not all! The J-pop Summit will also feature many fun events, like the “Ramen Summit” where ramen connoisseurs can gather and taste some of the most delicious concoctions around, J-pop Idol 2016 contest where Jpop enthusiasts compete to be crowned champion and the Cosplay Masquerade where talented cosplayers can show off their craft!

At the same time, the Japan Film Festival will also be taking place, beginning on July 23rd through to the 31st. Many of the films featured are award winners as well as up and coming talents, and sometimes they even invite actors to take part in the fun, but we’ll have to wait and see with later announcements!

Tickets will be going on sale this Friday May 6th on www.j-pop.com!
